It's been said that after working at something for 10,000 hours, one becomes an expert at that thing, whatever that thing may be - painting, dancing, programming computers, growing turnips. I have spent more than 122,317 hours playing music in night clubs, recording studios, concert halls, casinos, on cruise ships and riverboats, and occasionally on the street practicing. It's paid the bills for 40 years. I am an accomplished saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist, and composer. My home is New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz. My recordings as a leader have received luminous reviews worldwide. Check out my latest CD, Without Reasons, on the Fora Sound label. A short list of performance credits includes The Albert-Ankrum Project, Karrin Allyson, The Temptations, Prince, Higher Ground, Kevin Odegard, Leslie Blackshear Smith, The Naked Orchestra, New Orleans Street Beat, Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band, Charmaine Neville and Red Gallagher.
