Lawson became a Christian at age eleven. He grew up in East Tennessee with his parents and 18 siblings in a Christian home where faith and family were highly valued. Music has been an integral part of his whole life, as the family often travels to sing in churches.
He recently released his first solo project, Freedom Sure Ain’t Free, featuring two original songs. His desire is to present meaningful songs that touch and encourage others. The CD includes a wide range of styles including southern gospel, bluegrass, patriotic, and western yodeling. It features some of Nashville’s most accomplished artists.
Lawson has developed an interest in film making. He is currently working on his first film project, which will have a western theme. He grew up with a love for horses and wholesome TV shows, like Roy Rogers. As a young boy, he learned to play the guitar and was soon yodeling and singing old cowboy tunes that he rewrote with Christian words.
Lawson also manages a landscaping company (Lawson’s Lawn Care). He currently resides in Lake City, TN with his family.
