Lamont King is a rising super-talent and self-proclaimed THINKERTAINER in the stand-up comedy, radio, television and film worlds. He has been a working comedian/writer for over 10 years, and a morning radio personality for nearly as long.
On screen Lamont is now appearing in the feature film Love For Sale [Image Entertainment]. You might have caught him on MSN’s The Big Debate, SpikeTV’s Manswers, BET’s Comic View, UPN’s ALL OF US, and as the host of Hot Ghetto Mess - The DVD, and was a regular contributor on BET’s Bring That Week Back. You may also recognize him from Burger King’s Whopper Freakout national ad campaign that became a viral internet phenomenon. Lamont was also a part of The Lemmings, a legendary sketch comedy troupe affiliated with National Lampoon. You can read his Lamontologues commentary in The Humor Mill Magazine.
For most of 2008 he was the co-host of The Eavesdrop, a Talk show that aired weekly on XM Satellite Radio channel 67 The City. Lamont had recurring roles on The Tom Joyner Show’s “It’s Your World” radio soap, as a writer and voice actor. He was a co-host on The John Salley Block Party with Ananda Lewis on 100.3-FM The Beat in Los Angeles. He made a name for himself with a nation-wide audience as a main cast-member on the nationally-syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show [Radio-One, INC] for six years, and also with WPGC 95.5-FM in DC. He was the voice behind some of morning radio’s most memorable original characters and did many impressions of some of your favorite artists and entertainers.
Hailing from Prince George’s County, MD, Lamont is currently living in Inglewood, CA, but travels frequently for gigs. In addition to being hilarious on stage, he is the ultimate host for any type of event (i.e. cabarets, parties, step shows, panel moderator, clubs, etc.) and is always looking for more work.
Lamont is very proud of his civic and fraternal affiliations as a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated and F&AM, PHA
