Biography

Take a trip back to the roots of today’s ubiquitous retro electro pop radio production; as well as skinny jeans, bold bangs, and neon tights. Le Mans (not to be confused with the 1990’s Spanish rock band) emerged during the heyday of the early 2000’s electroclash scene. Founding member, Jamisin Matthews,(usually called LeMans Electro by fans) played and deejayed boutiques, galleries, clubs, and bars across Los Angeles under various pseudonyms and in countless live bands. Alongside Mount Sims and Dirty Sanchez, Le Mans was one of the handful of Los Angeles based music projects serving up DIY eighties-influenced tracks showcasing talky ironic vocals amidst a palette of synthetic instrumentation
