Leanne Pearson

Leanne Pearson is a charismatic young woman who is at the beginning of an inevitability long career in music. Passionately singing and performing since the age of four, Leanne obtained stage experience quite early. With years of singing at local events in her hometown of Winnipeg and entering talent searches, Leanne maintains the sheer will, drive and tenacity to succeed. This twenty-three year old proud Canadian recently released her first EP ‘Serendipity’, which showcases her musical and personal being. A track like "Get Outta My Heart" is a real ‘girl-power’ song with the right amount of attitude and just enough cuteness to reel you in. With her cover of Bryan Adams’ "The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You", Leanne’s 80's rock influence is coupled with her brand of country and united with a strong delivery making you think she wrote it.

There are no boundaries to this female country rocker, who is not afraid to play songs by male artists like Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Tom Petty, Bon Jovi and Luke Bryan. Speaking on her unpredictable, captivating and electrifying live performance; Leanne never fails to surprise a crowd as she embeds a rap into a country song at every live show. Canadian country music hit maker Aaron Pritchett notes, "Leanne has the maturity as well as the talent to be a huge star in the music business. I have not seen anyone else in country music that can put on a live concert like Leanne, pull it off with great vocals and maintain so much energy the entire show.”

Walking on stage with a smile as big as her guitar, a pretty dress and cowboy boots, Leanne then shatters your expectations as she tears up the stage with her energetic stage presence. Kathleen Higgins of multi-award winning Canadian Country music group The Higgins says, “(Leanne’s) so fresh and free, her hair, her whole look, her vibe it’s really fresh and organic. (Leanne’s) such a nice person and she’s smiling a lot, singing with energy.” CMT’s Joel Stewart adds, “(Leanne) comes across as such a level-headed kid. has a great voice, a great smile... I think we just may see a lot more of her”.

In June 2012, Leanne was crowned the winner of the annual Talent Contest at Dauphin’s Country Fest where she was up against a very talented crop of artists. With her stage presence, ability to interact with the crowd, strong vocals and a smart song selection she managed to come away with the top prize. Most recently, Leanne was a Top 6 finalist in Country Music Television’s (CMT’s) "Big In A Small Town", which was yet another important step for her personality and talent to be showcased to the country music fan base across the country.

If anyone thinks Leanne is limited to only being talented at music, they are wrong. In April 2011, Leanne graduated with a B.A. from the University of Manitoba, where she is on the Dean’s Honour List. If it is not enough that Leanne has brains, beauty and musical talent, she is also one tough cookie with a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Released in January, Leanne’s debut album ‘Serendipity’ was produced by the multi-award winning Bart McKay. Murray Pulver, of multi-award winning Canadian country music trio Doc Walker, played guitar on the record among other great musicians. Leanne’s sound is attractive to fans of all genres as has been influenced by all musical genres.

Leanne’s first single “Here and Now” is currently at Canadian Country Radio and is being added all across the country. Follow up singles to come in late spring and late summer will set this hell-bent-for-success prairie girl up for a long future in the music industry!
