BIOGRAPHY
South-East Londoner Lee Warren was discovered by Aswad manager Les Spaine Snr.
At a London recording session of one of Les Spaine's other acts (namely 'Perception' of Talking Loud Records), Spaine introduced Warren to songwriter Peter Maurice.
Although he had originally intended to record a cover of The Isley Brothers' 'Summer Breeze', Lee Warren's first recording session (in Fleet, Hants]) spawned 2 songs, namely Maurice's 'Do It' and a cover of Ray Davies' 'Sunny Afternoon', both produced by Paul Martin & Peter Maurice.
Warren's second recording session (in Islington, London) spawned 3 Peter Maurice songs, namely 'You Know That I Need You More', 'For Once In My Life' and a re-recording of Steve Pilsbury's 'Stronger Than It's Ever Been.'
