In 2004 Lee Whitaker along with collaborator Guy Scott produced “Songs from the Hourglass”. Soon after Lee’s European radio tour in ‘05, the first song, “In My Heart is a Well” went to #1 in The Netherlands and got airplay on over 80 stations throughout Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. That same year Lee’s Christmas Advent single, “Prepare the Way”, was played on over 300 radio stations throughout the world.
For the past few years Lee has been writing and recording songs for his newest CD, “Alabaster Jar”. The first single to be released, “The Winds of Pentecost”, is about the birth of the Christian Church as chronicled in Acts 2 of the Bible. He hopes the song will resonate with both believers and non believers alike. The full CD “Alabaster Jar”, is set for release in late Spring 2012.
Lee looks forward to see how God uses “The Winds of Pentecost” for His glory. You can find Lee on most Sunday mornings playing with the Pitman United Methodist Church praise band.
