Leticia Rodriguez, Austin artist and musician, performs Pan American music, largely tropical, ranging from 1950 covers learned as a child from her internationally acclaimed tia, Eva Garza, to original music. She has also had careers in dance and theatre, and with this experience, delivers unforgettable performances.
Ms Rodriguez comes from an extended family of singer/songwriters, but first chose to develop other artistic skills of performance, directing, producing and writing, while raising a family. Music is now her primary career and since the release of her first album, La Americana, Rodriguez has been featured on
PRI, The World, A Niece’s Song Tribute to Her Aunt, the Late Eva Garza as well as on local, national and international blogs and radio programs. Her second album was released in August 2014, and ranked immediately in the Top Ten for national college radio stations (CMJ). Rodriguez recently was featured on KEXP, a tastemaker radio station in Seattle, WA, and has her hit song, Saguita al Bate under consideration in the 57th Grammy Awards for 2014 for Record of the Year.
