Biography

Lin Di was born in Shanghai. Began to learn pipa at age four in a primary school
attached to Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Graduated from the Shanghai
Conservatory of Music, Folk Music Department, Specializing in ethnic
instruments, synthesizer music and orchestral composition. Began composing
and arranging in 1994.Formed the band Cold Fairyland in 2001 as singer,
keyboard and pipa player.
Her band has toured the Netherlands, Japan, Finland, and Spain; performed
hundreds of concerts in China's major cities; and participated in various
large-scale music festival performances.
