Linda Foy

Biography

Linda Foy: the musical love child of Moby and the Cocteau Twins, remixed by the ghost of Patsy Montana?

Linda Foy's music exudes a sense of place. Her soundscapes range from Montana's big sky country to the bustling London Underground. Her electronic beats are rooted to the earth, her voice soars to the stars. This is modern ethereal wave dream pop.

Her first cd, Amazon Calling, featured well-known musicians from the Boston and New York areas, including the wildly talented percussionist, Bob Moses. As Derek Sivers noted, "The songs are swirling mix of exotic influences in a sonically fascinating album...reminds me of Paul Simon's Graceland album but with more interesting sonic production. Amazing...."

Since the release of Amazon Calling, Linda has progressed to writing and recording using her voice, sound effects, guitars, and rhythm samples.

Her music is cinematic and literary; her lyrics, a travel log of her internal emotional landscape. Her voice is cool, serious, at times ethereal, and always compelling. She creates music that traverses musical borders and leads you to your heart's destination.
