Lisa Theunissen has a voice to be reckoned with. Her distinctive sound and polished theatrical style give her performances a reality and sincerity that few in Dubai can match. Worked in Europe as a professional singer, theatrical vocalist, and commercial performer for almost 15 years, and recent international performances have included stage appearances with super vocalist Jessie J, and the incredible Ed Sheeran.
Her genre is pop, but her artistic integrity is pure poetry. Miss T's repertoire of self-styled chart hits, pop, soul, and rock has seen her perform at some of the most prestigious venues and clubs worldwide. Recently returned to Dubai from a three year tour during which she played with house-music vocal legend Barbara Tucker at Ibiza’s Teatro Pereyra and returned briefly to her home country, South Africa, to play at major events surrounding the 2010 Football World Cup.
Regular dates in the Middle East and Asia have included global venues that universally welcomed her crowd-friendly music mix. While performing at Xiu Bar, Beijing her band won the Best House Band in Beijing (2011) by The Reader Bar and Club Awards, Beijinger Magazine.
Lisa's background in musical theatre, combined with a strong entrepreneurial ethos, has broadened her professional skills. An accomplished singer-songwriter, voice-over artist, actor and session vocalist. In 2008 Lisa independently launched her critically acclaimed debut album, HerStory. Following the album’s release, she conducted a UK tour, featured on Amazon as a ‘New and Emerging Artist for 2008’, and subsequently nominated for ‘Best Pop Rock Act’ at the Exposure Music Awards (sponsored by TourDates.co.uk).
Close to completing her second album, 2012 saw Lisa showcasing her original songs at The Fridge Concert Series and performing at the Madinat Theatre in The Fridge's new stage production "Kalubela”. Her regular performance in Dubai is Friday Brunch at Mina A Salam, Madinat Jumeirah until July 2013.

In 2012 Lisa joined Shelley Frost’s exclusive artists roster for The Fridge in Dubai.
