I am from Buffalo, New York and have been playing guitar/bass since the age of 13. My very first instrument was the accordian. I was taking lessons from an older polish gentleman at the local neighborhood Boy's Club at the age of 10. I had to stop after a month because of illness. I never continued even after i was well again. Then my mother had my older sister and myself study classical piano. I had taken a number of lessons before our teacher moved out of town. Then one day i heard this guy playing guitar around the corner from where i lived, which was across the street from Canisius College. You could here it around the corner from where i lived. He would be playing theme songs such as: "SECRET AGENT MAN". The guitar really sounded great and that became my soul instrument. I purchased guitar books and took lessons from local music stores from $2.00 to $5.00 per hour trying to improve my playing ability. I went to local jam sessions around town such as: "THE PINE GRILL" on Jefferson Blvd. that was a hotspot for out of town entertainment. Groups like: "THE OHIO PLAYERS" use to perform there before they really got famous! I played with local groups such as: "MILTON SALTER and THE ALL NIGHT WORKERS, "THE NEW BREEDS", DOUGLAS "TRIGGER" GASTON, "THE FUNKIFIED FILTH", "THE CAUSE" and many others.
