Lovespirals

Biography

Lovespirals began as a side-project of Love Spirals Downwards, the formerly best selling Projekt Records act of Ryan Lum. In 1998 Lum became immersed in the San Francisco drum ‘n’ bass DJ scene, and soon found himself collaborating with sultry vocalist, Anji Bee on new material. After a series of jazzy D’n’B singles released on comps alongside the likes of LTJ Bukem, Lum and Bee explored a new jazzy dream pop sound which evolved into their moody 2002 debut CD, Windblown Kiss. The duo followed up in 2005 with a sensual blend of electronica and dream pop on Free & Easy. In late 2007, Lovespirals released their 3rd full-length album, Long Way From Home. This was followed up by 3 remix EPs of two tracks from the album, "Motherless Child," and "This Truth." The second "This Truth" EP, released by UK dance label, Loverush Digital, actually charted in the top 10 of 5 different categories including #2 in the World Trance Chart and #4 in the World House Chart. Lovespirals are set to release their 4th full length album, 'Future Past,' this winter.

Lovespirals’ music has been featured on MTV, VH1, E!TV, ABC, EW (formerly the WB Network), and many other television and cable channels internationally.
