Luisito Rosario has been around in the Salsa scene for many years, and has traveled the world time and time again. He has shared with stage with such great and legendary Salsa artists as Ismael Miranda, Larry Harlow, Yomo Toro, Junior “Hommy” Gonzalez, Adalberto Santiago, “El Cano Estremera”, Nestor Sanchez, Johnny Rivera, Oscar De Leon and many more just to name a few. Thru the years he has absorbed all that experience and has become the artist that he is today.
In 1996, the legendary Larry Harlow from the Fania All-Stars hired Luisito to be lead vocalist for his orchestra (Latin Legends of Fania). It’s been 19 years and they are still going strong. Luisito also recorded
“Tumba y Bongo” in 2002 for Larry Harlow’s 35th anniversary CD where he, along with Mr. Nestor Sanchez recorded all the background vocals. Also in 1996 Luisito joined the popular Salsa band in New
York City “Grupo Hechizo” and recorded lead vocals in their 1998 CD “Sin Limites” which charted in the
Top Five of the United States record pools. In 1999 Luisito was in a freelance mode where he also sang
lead vocals and traveled the world with “Los Hermanos Moreno”.
Luisito teamed up the Mambo City Records in 2001, and launched his first solo CD with “Jurame” which
showcased his romantic style Salsa. Working together with such arrangers as Cuto Soto and Lucho Cueto
the cd rapidly became a collector’s item. By 2005 together with Mambo City Records they decide to record his 2nd cd call “Rumba Del Barrio” showcasing the type of salsa that’s popular to the hardcore
salseros. This production included Charanga, Son, Mambo, Guajira and just straight up old school hard
core salsa styles. With this production Luisito was also able to hit the popular TV shows (Despierta America, Descontrol, and Escandalo TV) which helped with nationally and internationally.
In 2010 Luisito decides to create his own record label and production company and records “Casino Rueda” where is took the role as composer and producer of his 3rd CD. In this production Luisito came
with a little bit of everything. He recorded three songs in English, one song with “Croma Latina from Italy”, and Salsa R&B recording artist Nino Valentino. The 2 songs which Luisito wrote, rapidly become
his fans favorites (Casino Rueda and Dame La Oportunidad). He also worked with top arrangers Jose
Madera, Tommy Villariny, Julito Alvarado, Kevin Rodriguez, Emo Luciano and Ronnie Amoro.
Now Luisito comes with a totally out of the box single with a Salsa Version of Michel Telo’s “Ai Se Eu Te Pego” (NOSA)which many of us fans will truly make it a #1 Smash Hit!! Also in his forth CD he will include
2 songs with a Big Band sound featuring 16 musicians. Also staying true to his Salsa Dura style, he will
add straight up hardcore Salsa. But not forgetting his loyal fans, he will also include a few tracks of
Salsa romantica. This CD will surely be one for the collectors and DJ’s across the world!!!
Luisito Rosario has truly come a long way and also continues to devote his time and respect to the legends who have paved the way in the Salsa Industry. Giving 110% to his fans every time he hits the
stage, but at the same time staying humble and accessible to everyone he comes in contact with.
Like he always says the “The Stars are up in the night skies, I’m just a man with a God given talent and
sharing it with the world” EH LA COSA!!!!!
