Biography

Singer-Songwriter, Lynn Frances Anderson is a distinct, skillful, passionate songwriter and dynamic performer; who leaves the audience hungry for more. A seasoned performing songwriter, Anderson works with some of the most respected names in the industry.

Anderson incorporates the depth and character of rhythm & blues into roots-rock Americana music. Her music has been likened to the sounds of Annie Lennox, Janis Joplin, Chrissie Hynde, Bonnie Raitt, Joan Armatrading, Janis Ian, Shawn Colvin, Sheryl Crow, Mary Chapin-Carpenter.

Anderson is respected for her powerful voice and a dynamic guitar style. Her powerful voice is reminiscent of blues legends. World class musicians have offered their support of Anderson’s music by performing and recording with her.

Anderson’s latest roots-rock recording to be released early in 2010, features legendary violinist, Scarlet Rivera; guitarist, Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson, Jeff Beck) and Tony Coleman, drummer for BB King. Also recording with Lynn are bassist Damian Erskine, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and songwriting partner Holly Leer, drummer Rob Schnell and guitarist Tim Ellis.

Anderson’s 2006 release, Born Lucky, featured Joe Craven (Jerry Garcia, David Grisman), Kirby Kelley (world class slide player) who recently won Guitar Center’s 2009 “King of the Blues” Contest.

Anderson has packed Portland’s Aladdin Theatre three times with raving reviews on Adult Contemporary commercial radio.

In addition to recording, Anderson is currently opening for Tony Coleman & All the King's Men - past and present members of BB King's band.

This year Anderson tours solo along the West coast, followed by a stop to perform at BB King's in Nashville in 2010.
