M.I.C. is up and running with a fresh lineup and new album called "3rd Degree". In early 2010 they
put their new material to the test by pounding it out in nightclubs in and around Chengdu. By May, the
drums were laid down on twelve worthy songs, however, it wasn’t until September that the rest of the
instrumentals were recorded. By December the album was mixed, mastered, and ready to go.
The new lineup boasts three new members: Tommy Burke on Drums from London, Uchida “ Yugi ”
Yuuji on Bass from Osaka, and Dave Smith on Keyboards from Liverpool - all long-time veterans of the
music scene. Angela Renzetti is back with the band and performs a duo with Yvon Serre on “I’ll be
Back” as well as singing background vocals on other songs.
The album features different styles ranging from Punk, Rock & Roll, Ballad, Melodic Rock, and Metal. In
addition to the mix of U.K., American and Canadian influences in the songs, guest players from Canada
and China also add an international flavor to the overall project.
