MICHAEL NITRO

Biography

Michael Nitro builds a reputation as one of the most entertaining performers wherever he goes. Listeners become enchanted by his soulful voice and are transported through his storytelling-style lyrics. Coupled with his guitar solos, passion, and high-energy performances, Nitro is a must-see.

From a young age, Michael knew that music would be his life. He was watching and learning showmanship from the then unknown bands of Rick Derringer, The Good Rats and Twisted Sister. He then headed west to continue his musical education in Hollywood following the upcoming bands Guns N Roses, Poison and Mötley Crüe.

Michael is no stranger to big venues and big audiences. He has gained a substantial fan base while opening for a slew of national acts including Bad Company, Peter Frampton, Bon Jovi and REO Speedwagon. He jumped at the opportunity to play guitar with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra when asked by the legendary Sam Moore. And how could he resist when Alice Cooper asked the Michael Nitro Band to back him up for his Cooper’stown Grand Opening performance?
Michael has written and produced two full length CDs as well as numerous singles that have received radio air play and international reviews. He independently sold 5,000 copies of his CD, Winning. His latest rock single, Mary Jane (mixed by Ken Mary and mastered by renowned Hollywood engineer, Bernie Grundman) receives radio air play and thousands of hits on MySpace.

As a performer, he engages even the most remote corner of the venue. His passion to play is apparent, his love of music is clear, and his excitement of the gig renewed every night. No one is more eager to perform and grow as a singer, songwriter and musician than Michael Nitro.
