Magicaboola Brass Band

MagicaBoola Brass Band is a versatile group with a well suited show for any different type of
situation (street or on stage). Continuing with the twentieth century tradition of Marchin'
Bands, Magicaboola Brass Band has the features of a modern Street Band through a crew
composed by a brass section and rhythmic section: trumpets, trombones, saxes, sousaphones,
snare drums, bass drums, percussions.

The aim of this project is to continue the way started from the bands in New Orleans. Therefore
arrangements offer so many influences of jazz, blues, ethnic, hip hop, funk, and popular italian
songs. Then you'll be able to find original compositions but also new interpretations of many
covers.

Musicians' backgrounds are very different between them (jazz, blues, rock but also classical
music). But everybody have a long experience in marchin' bands with many years of street
performances. So our musical notes cannot represent the entire show. Our rule are: “Music,
dance, improvisation are not too important … involve the people is the only indispensable
element”. You'll be able to see choreographies and sketches to create a unique and
overwhelming atmosphere.

The band is composed by: Alessandro Riccucci (Alto, Tenor, Soprano Sax, Flute), Riccardo Filippi,
Emanuele Cannatella (Tenor Sax), Michele Santinelli, Massimo Gemini (Baritone Sax, Voice),
Andrea Lagi, Fabrizio Dell'Omodarme, Alessio Bianchi, Tommaso Iacoviello (Trumpet), Leonardo
Ricci (Sousaphone), Riccardo Focacci (Snare Drum), Matteo Marchi (Bass Drum), Francesco
Dell'Omo (Percussions).

After "Boom", published in 2008, now the italian brass band releases its last album “Attaccati
Alla Luna” available in three different ways: CD, LP and Digital Distribution
(http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/magicaboolabrassband1).
With regard to the album featuring you can find the italian trombonist Mauro Ottolini.
