Mahasin, which means 'How Beautiful' in Arabic, is a singer, songwriter, and performer born and raised in the Harlem section of New York, USA. She started her musical journey as a vocalist in her middle school chorus and later as a student of the trombone at the prestigious Juilliard School. The results of which were several dynamic recordings including the “Wind It Up!” and "Party Life" albums.

Mahasin has taken her talent to many stages including but certainly not limited to The Knitting Factory, Blue Note and Brooklyn Academy of Music B.A.M. Café Live. In addition to her solo projects, she has performed background for the likes of Meli’sa Morgan and collaborated with countless Independent artists and musicians. Most recently, she lent her voice to the “Be a Humanitarian” project in support of raising money and awareness in the wake of the tragic Haitian Earthquake.

Mahasin is a sassy singer and songwriter bringing together a perfect blend of Pop, R&B and Soul. Being a child of the 80’s Mahasin draws her influences from Pop icons such as Michael Jackson, Madonna and Prince and understands how their music was able to bring people together.
