A Guitar virtuoso and a prolific music teacher, Manen jamir is a musician who embarked on his professional career with his individual win during the Hornbill Rock Beat Contest, 2002 when he was adjusted the Best Lead Guitarist. Influenced by Guitar virtuoso like Steve moorse, Jason Becker, Marty Friedman and Yngwie Malmsteen among others, Manen enjoys and finds true expression in playing and creating music. Though open to all genres of music, Manen loves Neo-Classical, Rock, Blues and Country the best. Having established himself as a seasoned musician, Manen is striving to use the experience he has gathered from his journey -from a young boy strumming a box guitar for his classmates to a matured musician with much credit to take home -to improve himself and to share his experience with others. Taking a step towards achieving his dream of promoting and nurturing and to help open up avenues for expression musical talent, Manen established Hillspraise Music Academy in the year 2003 in Dimapur, Nagaland, India and is the Director of the Academy.
Manen Jamir, in 2012, released his debut guitar instrumental album titled “Rays of a New Dawn” which is an embodiment of his profoundest philosophy of life, that there is always a new dawn in the midst of the enveloping darkness and that faith in God and the self open the door to hope and to new possibilities. Manen owes all that he is today to his father who died when he was barely a year old. His father was a talented musician among the locality. Though he is gone he plays a very important factor in his music life and still holds deep and continues to be the light in his way.
