BIOGRAPHY
Marc Brown & The Blues Crew are one of the hardest working bands in the country, doing 170 or more shows every year for the last 18 years. They have won a couple of Alaska State Battle Of The Bands, several Fairbanks Battles and in 2008 took 4th in the Nationals, which was held in Anaheim, CA. Along the way, they have opened for ZZ Top, Jethro Tull, Fabulous Thunderbirds, J Geils Band, Eddie Shaw and John Hammond. They have also jammed with WAR, Al Green's trumpet player, Canned Heat and Three Dog Night. Marc also did a stint as a bassist, touring with the Chieftains of Ireland.
Marc Brown & The Blues Crew have been putting out tapes and cds since 1993 and their Long Time Coming cd from 2009 was nominated for a nammy. Marc has written over 300 songs and have hundreds more waiting to be written.
This band did a west coast tour back in 2005, with gigs at BB Kings in Hollywood and House Of Blues in Vegas, where Al Green caught their show and sent his trumpet player to jam with the Blues Crew. Marc & Crew have toured the State Of Alaska from top to bottom and everywhere in between. They are currently the house band at the Arctic Bar in Fairbanks, Alaska.
