Native of Dallas, Texas, MARC TOUSSAINT discovered vocal Jazz accidentally while rummaging through a garage sale on his way home from elementary school (Mel Torme, Frank Sinatra, Joe Williams and Dinah Washington, Cannonball Adderly, June Christy). Thirty-some years later, Marc leads the premier jazz group in North Texas.
MARC TOUSSAINT’s combo and big bands are made up of seasoned jazz musicians from across the U.S. and have garnered a well-earned reputation for quality, sophistication, excellence and dependability.
MARC TOUSSAINT performs all over the country and can be seen regularly at The Mansion on Turtle Creek and the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dallas as well as The "W" Hotel, The Gaylord Hotel, The Crescent Hotel, The Adolphus Hotel, The Hilton Anatole, The Stoneleigh Hotel, The Weston Stonebriar Resort and Hotel, Reatta, Prestonwood Country Club, The Bent Tree CC, Brookhollow CC, The Ridglea CC, The North Dallas CC, The Oak Cliff CC, The Lakewood CC, The El Dorado Country Club and many others.
MARC TOUSSAINT is actively involved with and performs for many of the top regional Charity organizations including The IIDA Annual Charity Ball, The Jewell Charity Ball, The Susan G. Koman Foundation, The Chronic Disease Fund, The Dallas Stars Foundation, The Friends of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and The Arthritis Foundation.
MARC TOUSSAINT performs at special occasions and society galas as well as many music festivals (Grapefest, Main Steet Days, Cottonwood Arts Festival, Savor Dallas, Savor the Symphony and Taste Of Dallas, NYC Riverfront Music Festival). The band was recently featured in "D" Magazine’s "Dream Weddings" edition.
MARC TOUSSAINT has performed with and opened for several celebrities and legendary artists including Jerry Jones, Michael Reagan, Mike Huckaby, Montel Williams, Stevie Wonder, Bobbi Humphrey, Mike Love and Chris Botti. Most recently opening for Lyle Lovett and his Large band.
MARC TOUSSAINT has released five CDs. The most recent (Fall of 2013), entitled FLY ME TO THE MOON, a ten-song recording comprised of some of Marc’s most requested songs. The other recordings, ONE FOR MY BABY, MORE, OLD DEVIL MOON, and SWINGIN SINGIN’ CHRISTMAS, each engineered by multi-grammy winner Phil York, are collections of some of the greatest swing and jazz favorites from the 40’s through the 60’s. OLD DEVIL MOON was included in the 2003 Grammy competition and ONE FOR MY BABY... was a contender in the 2005 Grammys as well. The single, I COVER THE WATERFRONT was included in the competition for "Best Vocal (Traditional)".
