Marcia Louis (or, "Beautiful Marcia" as she is known by her adoring fans) has spent her entire life singing to children. For the past 21 years she has been a Music specialist at dozens of Nursery Schools throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut. It is her greatest delight to introduce young ones to her vast array of instruments; guitar, banjo, ukelele, mandolin, dulcimer, autoharp, conga, myriad percussion instruments and her beloved accordions while blending learning with laughter. Her cd, "Live at the Darien Library" was made from two live concerts and features most of her instruments, as well as the audience responses to her greatest hits.
"Dancin' With Mr. Bones" has proved to be a real winner, introducing children to the fun of Halloween without the fright. It also features her great love of harmony and percussion. The newest cd, "I'm Goin' to Kindergarten" is sure to become a classis, especially for preschool Graduation ceremonies. Again, the songs feature lots of catchy rhythms and percussion, terrific harmony and loads of laughter.
All of the cds skillfully blend songs, stories, dances and games that are geared for young children, but they are sophisticated enough for grown-up tastes.
Marcia is still singing throughout the Fairfield County area. In addition to her Nursery Schools, she is also a featured performer at libraries, Summer Camps and Birthday Parties.
When not cavorting with Toddlers, Marcia lives with her husband, Chuck (her High School Sweetheart!) in a 158 year old house on Muffin Lane in Norwalk and their pets, Nippy the evil cat, Eva the Rottweiler and Topsy, the miniature Schnauzer.
She hopes you enjoy the music!
