Marco Antonio Varela

Mr. Varela was born in Mexico City where he began to study music at the Artist Development Center at Televisa Studios. His family moved to Las Vegas in 1986, where he continued his music development while obtaining a business degree from the University of Nevada. He moved to Seattle in 1996 where he began his professional career with the Seattle Opera Company and continued with his vocal studies under the direction of his voice teacher Maryann Weltman and the support of Mr. George Fiore. After his experience in Seattle, he came back to Las Vegas in 2000, and in 2007, Mr. Varela produced and recorded His first Cd, " Trilogia". His second CD "Bell'anima" is currently in Production.

Mr. Varela took the role of producer, which gave him the freedom and flexibility to create various performing teams of classically trained singers.

These groups, include "Two Tenors and a Rose", which has had a wonderful success in Las Vegas. This group has been strongly supported by the Las Vegas Consular Chamber of Commerce, specially by the Hon. Consul of Monaco, Mr. Jonathan Warren and the Hon. Consul of Chile, Ms. Paulina Biggs Sparkhul as well as by the Mexican Consulate. Some of the other groups have been "Forza", "Lyrico" and "The High C's".

Mr. Varela is also a member of the tenor group "T4U" (Tenors for You), who have performed together now since the year 2000. This group is composed by Tenors Mark Thomsen, Alphonse Anderson and Michael Rodrigues.

Mr. Varela is an active member of AGMA (American Guild of Musical Artists) and leads an active performing schedule singing recitals, concerts, special events, and supporting non-profit organizations.

Mr. Varela continues to perform in Mexico, the US, Asia and Europe and was Invited to perform as a guest artist in the Korean Soap Opera "Boys over Flowers", episode 14, in Feb 2008, which was filmed in Macao, China.
