BIOGRAPHY
Margot Monti is a multi-specialized wind player known for her diversity in instrumentation. From alto clarinet to didgeridoo, and silver flute to fujara, her collection of sounds spans the globe and the reaches of the imagination. Her style is at once unique in its voices and deeply familiar in feeling. She hails from Portland, Oregon, where musical and personal individuality is both encouraged and expected. She has been a long-time member of the Portland Wind Symphony and plays with a number of other highly-varied projects around town. When not composing, practicing, or performing, she enjoys time with her family, savors excellent local ales, and works as a veterinary technician at the Oregon Zoo.
