Maria Gillard is a folksinger/songwriter from the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. She has been composing, and performing for 25 years. Her rich alto voice is compelling and her music has been described as soul-stirring, contagious, lively and energizing. She has a down-home flair that makes you feel like you are in her living room. A force to be dealt with, her music is surprisingly memorable and sophisticated. She has toured mostly around the east coast and was a Kerrville Folk Finalist in 1997. She is an educator, a writer, a singer , and a fine musician.
