During her career she has won numerous first prizes in international chamber music competitions, including a Special Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition of Paris and a degree in chamber music from the Cziffra Foundation. For eight years Marika taught at the Schola Cantorum of Paris and for two years at the Conservatoire National de Région d'Aubervilliers.
