I grew up in Lodi, California, a small town south of Sacramento, known as the Zinfandel Capital of the World. I started singing at the age of 4 and soon found my way to piano lessons when my parents realized my love for music. By high school, I was taking both piano and voice lessons, while participating in soccer and the drill team. My love for music soon led me to the world of musicals. I studied musical theater and opera, as well as piano, voice, theory, and music business at California State University, Chico. Highlights of these years included "The Marriage of Figaro", "Will Roger’s Follies", "The Pajama Game", and "The Bartered Bride".
Throughout the past few years since college, I have participated in many singing ventures including American Idol, Northern California Idol (placed 2nd!), Gospel Dream (placed top 4!), Seminar in the Rockies, Best of Broadway & Runaway Stage Production community theater, and many performances singing the National Anthem at Sacramento Kings and Monarchs games.
A few years ago, I started teaching voice and piano lessons to students eager to learn and better their musical ability. Since then, I have also been writing and developing my own music. I just finished recording an extended play (EP) to share with you. My music has an organic feel due to the acoustic nature of the tunes recorded at my home studio.
Just recently, I joined an upcoming cover band, The Hitlist Live, as one of the lead female vocalists and keys player performing hits from the 70’s to now. You will hopefully see us in downtown Sac or possibly South Lake Tahoe!
My life is music, whether it is small gigs with my fiancé Russ, recitals with my students, on stage with a full band, or writing/recording songs. Thank you for taking the time to visit my pages and listening to my songs. Please join my mailing list for upcoming news, shows, and local musical events.
