Felton credits Kool & The Gang as an early influence. "When I saw their horn section, I knew then I wanted to play an instrument, and not long after that I was introduced to Grover Washington Jr.'s music. That was it for me, I was hooked!" In a world where people are quick to label music, Felton's music can only be put in one category - "Great Music!" "I strive to deliver my best every time I play, that is what is important to me! Doing my best!"

Born in Chicago, IL, he began playing bugle at the tender age of nine and switched to saxophone at age eleven. He was inspired by all types of artists including Earth, Wind and Fire, Kool & The Gang, Grover Washington Jr. and many others.
