Mark Putt spent most of his formative years in the winter wonderland of Alaska. After leaving Alaska, Mark settled near the Rocky Mountains in Denver. The first steps Mark took in his musical exploration were unusual at best. Inspired by classical music, Mark's first instrument was the Oboe. The Violin and flute were the next instruments to catch Mark's interest.
By his early teen's Mark had developed an interest in the guitar. This collaboration has remained. Mark was on track to become a very typical very boring guitarist until he was invited to join a punk band. Mark maintained a very conservative and typical appearance while performing in the punk genre. But, being involved in punk granted Mark access to music he never would have been exposed to as a typical guitarist of the 80's and 90's.
Underground music, eclectic performances and outrageous art of all kinds captured Mark's attention. In the early 2000's Mark began writing and performing in his current style. Mark's upbeat but darkly humorous style is a product of bar room honky tonk meeting the sardonic underground music scene.
If you ask Mark "Who is your favorite artist or band"? His normal answer is "Well... today it's (Insert artist or band name here.)"
