BIOGRAPHY
To know Landry is to know a young man who has wholly dedicated himself to the ministry of music. He was born in Hanford, CA in the summer of 1991 to Rev. & Mrs. Gaylen Cantrell with one older brother Weston. Landry soon became known to his family as the “songbird” or “noise maker’ of the household since, even as a toddler, he would continuously sing around the house. As a young student of Hanford Christian School Landry developed a love for writing and as he entered his early teens these gifts began to merge and new songs were born. In early 2007 at the age of fifteen Landry had written more than enough songs to record his first album “Back To You” and then released his second project in the spring of 2009 entitled “Moving Ahead”. In 2010 he along with Mark Waddle released a Praise and Worship project titled “Surrender”, a collection of thirteen songs for church worship services. Landry is currently a student at Berklee College of Music where he is pursuing a Masters Certificate in music production. He also is a recording engineer at JNP Studios where both he and his brother Weston spend many long hours recording, mixing and mastering for artists abroad. Landry is also very active in the ministries of his church. He is a praise leader, choir member, member of the Kid’s Power Hour cast, the “Signs & Wonders” signing team and the Parable Players Drama Ministry. www.landrycantrell.com
