Martin Beal is a performer and educator with thirty years experience. His wide-ranging interests have led him to explore many musical genres including Opera, Jazz, Rock, Big Band Swing, Irish folk and more.
Martin holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from C.S.U. Sacramento.
He has performed and taught with such institutions as the Sacramento Music Circus, the American Musical Theatre of San Jose, the Stockton Opera, the Monterey Opera, TheatreWorks of Mountain View, the Piedmont Children's Choir, Foothill College in Los Altos Hills and numerous schools in San Jose and Los Angeles. Martin was the choir director and teacher of piano and teacher at John F. Kennedy High School in Sacramento, California.
Martin's recordings are available for purchase here on the MartinBeal.com website. In 1996, he made a recording of some of his favorite Irish music, and is now re-releasing "My Irish Eyes" on CD. "Martin Beal with a Touch of Brass" is a collection of Big Band Swing with one of the Bay Area's best swing bands.
