Martin Luther King Jr. Community Choir San Diego

Biography

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Choir San Diego (MLKCCSD) is a non-profit charitable organization. The Choir's purpose is to raise funds through a series of concerts for educational grants that we distribute to aspiring college-bound high school majors in Visual and Performing Arts from the San Diego County area. MLKCCSD is led by an all-volunteer board, and directed by Kenneth Anderson.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. envisioned all races singing the Negro Spiritual together. MLKCCSD lives that dream, with volunteer members from all walks of life all over San Diego. Since 1997 MLKCCSD has performed concerts all over San Diego and internationally, and given out more than 60 grants totaling over $110,000. MLKCCSD is proud to sponsor the local artists of tomorrow, and to share our passion and music with the community, and most of all to worship and praise our Lord.
