Mary Elizabeth Raines

MARY ELIZABETH RAINES is a world-renowned hypnotist and guided imagery expert whose recordings have helped many hundreds of people make positive changes in their lives, whether their desire has been to lose weight, gain confidence, boost particular skills, heal, or regress to a past life. According to the National Guild of Hypnotists, "[Mary Elizabeth Raines is] recognized as one of the leading practitioners of the art and science of hypnotism."

Ms. Raines has been hypnotizing people since she was 14 years old. She is the director of the Academy for Professional Hypnosis Training, and is an adjunct faculty member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, for whom she created the Guided Imagery Certification program. Ms. Raines is proficient in many healing modalities, and is also an expert in past-life regression. She has led past-life regression groups in many regions of the USA, and trains people worldwide to become Past-life Regression Counselors.

Raines, whose voice is featured in the Laughing Cherub recordings, has a background in theater and film as well as in hypnosis, and many find her speaking voice especially relaxing and soothing. She is known for her work with actors.

In addition to conducting workshops and class across the country and speaking at hypnosis conventions, Ms. Raines has been associate editor of a national hypnosis magazine and is a regular contributor to professional hypnosis magazines, which have included the Hypno-Gram, the Hypnotherapy Journal (U.K.), and publications of the International Medical & Dental Hypnosis Association and the International Hypnosis Federation. Her written material can be found in three books about hypnosis, including "Everyday Miracles of Hypnosis," and "The New Consumer's Guide to Hypnosis," published by the National Guild of Hypnotists, in which she contributed the chapter on Guided Imagery.
