A BRIEF HISTORY – MARY LAMBERT
Juno Award Nominee, Mary Lambert, is a family singer/songwriter/performer, and outstanding Canadian artist in the children’s entertainment field. Her two Juno nominations and 8 awards from the United States (Parents’ Choice Award Winner, iParenting Award Winner, and Dr. Toy, Best Children’s Vacation Product Award Winner) are a remarkable testimony to her talent and artistry. Her wonderful voice and colourful performances are filled with infectious music, sheer energy and lots of audience participation.
Since 1993, Mary has toured and performed over 3000 shows at schools, libraries, music festivals and family focused events throughout Canada. Mary Lambert Productions has released 12 CDs, and two live concert DVDs. We are thrilled to announce the release of her latest CD, entitled “Worms and Dirt”. This CD will compliment her new themed performance “GO GO GREEN”, which is perfect for elementary schools, libraries or festivals who are looking to have some musical fun with songs. The “GO GO GREEN” show is packed full of simple tips for families to learn how to enjoy our beautiful world and help our environment. TOTALLY INTERACTIVE FUN!!
Mary’s career began while living in Bracebridge, ON, when a friend overheard her singing to her three small children at bedtime. They began a delightful children’s entertainment company entitled “Jam Sandwich” and released two children’s recordings together. In 1995, Lambert moved to Kingston, ON, and her solo career was born releasing nine further CDs and two DVDs. In October, 2011, a huge move has landed her in Calmar, AB, where she is releasing her latest CD, and she is excited to meet and entertain families and children in the wonderful province of Alberta.
Throughout her years as a singer/performer, and mother of four, Mary has thoroughly enjoyed bringing the joy of music and creativity to kids of all ages through her recordings and concerts. Her background in music includes producing parades, musical theatre songs, and circus events with all of the children in her neighbourhood as she was growing up. Her childhood energy and creativity bubbled up, to allow her to remain a kid at heart with her musical career in her “big kid” years.
Mary is a dazzling and dynamic addition to the Canadian children’s music scene, and has had reviews published in Canadian Living Magazine, Today’s Parent, Resource Links for Canadian Elementary Schools, and B.C. Parent, among many other educational and entertainment publications in both Canada and the United States.
