Mary McGrath is a freelance writer, photographer, musician and composer. Largely self-taught, she infuses originality into her projects, and tries to break the barriers in her artistic undertakings.
Growing up in Los Angeles, she was surrounded by the arts. Her parents were professional dancers with Arthur Murray, so music was always a part of her life. In college, she performed in several jazz bands, and performed locally while attending UCSB. After college, she parked her interest in the arts to pursue a career in the advertising field working for many national consumer magazines.
Now that she has more time, she is focusing her efforts on her creative interests. As a freelance writer and photographer, her work has appeared in many venues including Newsweek, Copley Newspapers, The National Lampoon, AOL Patch, Rangefinder Magazine, After Capture Magazine, Mexico Traveler, Baja Traveler, and many other publications and web sites.
