Biography

Mary Christine Ukelady is a fun natured, soul driven singer-songwriter from western Maine who has won the hearts of many. She offers an array of refreshing originals and folksy favorites on ukulele and guitar. Her warm vocals and lyrical melodies celebrate country living, love and hope, flowing with rhythm and a style for all ages.
Influenced by the Beatles and folk music of the 60's & 70's, Mary takes you on a musical journey blending Folk, Americana, Country-Pop, Blues & Ballads, Children's Songs, and Soul. She has shared stages with Kate Schrock, Anni Clark, Heather Pierson, Dave Rave, Jeff Rojo, and Nate Towne.
In 2001, while attending a music celebration in the tropics, she discovered the joy of playing ukulele. Mary has since been performing throughout Maine communities. She is a longtime promoter of local original music, currently co-hosting and co-producing "Mainely Acoustic", a Community Television Program based in the Oxford Hills, that highlights Maine singer-songwriters.
