BIOGRAPHY

Composer and guitarist from Nara, Japan.

Masaaki Wada started playing the guitar at the age of 12. He played Japanese folk music as well as classical music by Bach, Albeniz, Villa-Lobos, etc. While studying at Columbia University, he started writing short pieces for guitar solo, flute and guitar, and cello and guitar. He started composing music seriously in 2005. Since then, he has composed and arranged varieties of music including about 30 short pieces for flute, English horn and bassoon.
