Matt Douglass

Biography

Matt Douglass - Singer/Songwriter Guitarist from the Mid-Atlantic region, Matt has come up with two real good roots rock/Americana albums since deciding to go on his own. Since playing and writing songs with several bands (from cowboy rock to roots-rock-reggae, and progressive) Matt has been writing songs that range from confessional to slow grooves to stories with a rock n roll soundtrack. His guitar playing style is influenced by everything from early folk masters to Ry Cooder to Anders Osborne. Since releasing his latest record in 2008, Matt has been playing solo live dates, some folk shows as a duo, and sitting in with an Irish band off and on. He is currently writing songs for his next record, planned for recording in late 2012.
