Matt Park first picked up his guitar in his late teens and immediately showed talent in songwriting and performing. Asked to perform an original composition for his graduation ceremony at Bishop O' Dowd High School in Oakland, Matt found his passion: music. Giving up his full scholarship to play golf in college, Matt decided to focus on music full time by majoring in Performing Arts: Music, and performing for countless events college-wide. Matt was sponsored to record his first album with Anthony Prael, Producer/Engineer/Owner of Mirapool Studios in 2005, while training at the S.F. Academy of Performing Arts with Broadway Talent/Teacher, Richard Nikol. Opportunities opened up for Matt internationally as he was invited to perform for various venues/concerts in Korea, Japan, and Greece. At 26, Matt Park is working on his next album and continues to contribute to this world by honoring God with his life through love, music, and counseling. Matt Park is also a full time student pursing a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. With the opportunity to translate his education and knowledge of the human brain into the universal language- music, Matt aspires to bring healing, joy, and happiness to the people around him. Matt enjoys eating, working out, reading, teaching golf, and playing in the Worship Band at Cornerstone Church in San Francisco.
