Melany creates and performs music for families. Her style is an acoustic mix of blues, jazz and pop. Melany's versatility as a singer-songwriter allows her to serve up kid's fare like Buggy Wuggy Blues then cater to the grown up palate with the jazzy Caught Me By Surprise. She has two nationally acclaimed albums, The Best That We Can and the award winning, Kidstuff, which are selling worldwide. Melany is about to release her newest recording, Animalopolos where cool animal songs teach life lessons. All of Melany's music, whether designed for kids or adults contains positive messages and are just plain fun.
In 2004 Melany opened The Kidstuff School of Guitar & Voice to make quality music education accessible and affordable for families. Her goal is to expand the school and mine for "diamonds", unearthing the hidden talent of children worldwide. Kidstuff school has taught hundreds of children, many going on to receive awards, scholarships and record deals.
Melany tours along with her husband, Tim Perkins, a.k.a. Mr. Science, entertaining, inspiring and helping kids’ brains and hearts grow. Together, they have five talented children.
