These Columbus, Ohio natives have mastered the art of what is being called, “Contemporary Quartet”, appealing to the quartet lover and the non-quartet lover alike. These young men began the group MGH in 2002 with founders, Oscar Stone III. and Ron Lyles Jr. and have grown over the years to become seasoned artist's, being compared to Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson because of their youth and artistry like's of “The Canton Spirituals” and “The Mighty Clouds of Joy” because of their crowd pleasing artistry and anointed ministry. Their debut CD, “No More Secrets” is a blend of traditional and contemporary gospel with soulful stylings and mesmerizing harmony. MGH is a group that will make you remember why you love gospel music. The members of MGH are: Ron Lyles Jr., Oscar Stone III., Gerald Lyles, Jonathan Lyles, Rashawn Brown, Calvin Dunning, and Jacob Holloway.
Men of God's Heart are the National Winners of the 2012 Gospel SuperFest Opening Act Contest and were awarded the Grand Prize of $2,500.00. They will perform their new single entitled, “Daybreak” on March 23 at The Temple of Deliverance COGIC in Memphis, TN
Elder Oscar J. Stone, III and Minister Ronald W. Lyles, Jr. both Columbus, Ohio natives co-founded Men of God’s Heart (MGH) in 2002. MGH currently consist of nine members. Members include Stone and Lyles, (both lead and background vocalist, producers, and composers); Rayshawn Brown (lead and background vocalist); Jonathan Lyles (background vocalist); Calvin D. Dunning (background vocalist); Jerold Lyles (percussionist); Anthony Martin (Bass Guitar); Walter Burger (keyboard-auxiliary); and Jacob Holloway (keyboard).
MGH’s passion for ministry and music and their smooth, melodic, harmonic, soulful sound and exuberance has taken them across the nation. It has enabled them to share their life experiences and messages through traditional and contemporary music coined “Quar-temporary.”
Men of God’s Heart are the 2011 AllState Gospel Superfest Battle of the Bands winner and have appeared on The Bobby Jones Gospel show on The Word Network and Performed at the Urban Soul Cafe during the 2012 Stellar Awards Weekend in Nashville, TN.
