On the back of a self-produced mix-tape presented by PAUSE Records, the trio would share the stage with some of Sacramento’s best talent, including The Socialistiks and The CUF. Trinity also opened shows for JT the Bigga Figga and KRS-One. The group even made their way to mainstream radio(KSFM 102.5) where they shocked then host, Ebro with their freestyling abilities.
As the group tried their best to navigate their way through the competitive music business, M.E.R.K. 1's first son was born. He decided to take a break from the industry to concentrate on being a father. But not being able to totally separate from his writing, M.E.R.K. began to grab the mic in 2008 and has vowed to never put it down again.
