About...
In just a few short years on the Twin Cities local music scene, Keyboardist, Recording Artist and Composer Michelle Glaser has appeared as the musical guest on NBC KARE 11's "Showcase Minnesota," has had 2 articles in the monthly magazine "The Edge: Soul of the Cities" and her music is playing on Twin Cities local radio station 90.3FM KFAI. These days, her live performances are a rare treat as she is focusing on composing music for FILM, TV and the Video Game industry. Always seeking to compose original music, she just co-wrote her 5th album with author Snow Angel entitled "Michelle Glaser Music Presents Chakra Mirror Math Meditations by Snow Angel: Guided Visualizations for Healing Auric Wounds with Divine Love."
What makes Michelle's music unique, is her capability to write music that expresses emotion. Whether she's feeling passionate or playful, her sound is creatively conveyed in many versatile forms and genres. “Michelle has an amazing gift. Her style is fluid and seemingly effortless. Michelle started her classical training at age 5, adding percussion to her experience around age 10. Entering state-level competitions and winning many awards, she quickly started coming into her own at an early age, but then she took a hiatus from playing in her twenties and entered the corporate world as an administrative assistant. It wasn't until she met her future life partner, who encouraged Michelle to go into the recording studio. Since then, she has released 2 full-length New Age/Classical albums. "Between Time," her most recent, was produced by Anthony J.W. Benson of injoi Music and recorded at Summit Sound in St. Paul, Minnesota. All of the songs from Between Time were recorded on a stunning $150,000 Bosendorfer piano, compared to her debut release, which was recorded at Pachyderm Studios using a digital synthesizer.
It's been said that classically-trained pianists aren't known to be able to improvise, or go beyond this genre of music, but Michelle surpasses that feat, as on her 3rd CD "Dance, Trance and Romance," the first project she composed, produced, arranged and performed herself, features catchy layered tracks and danceable beats. With the more recent purchase of her Apple iMac, Duet Apogee and Logic Pro Studio 9 software and equipment, Michelle looks forward to releasing her 7th CD, now in production for Fall 2012, in the Dance/Electronica genres.
She released her fourth CD "Co-Creating with the Divine - Piano Improvisations" in late summer of 2011. Inspiration comes to her on a daily basis, and she expects to be releasing her 6th CD, "Internal Peace" close to summer 2012. Internal Peace was pre-released in March and includes over an hour's worth of music designed to inspire, bring desire and set fire to your soul.
Residing in St. Paul, Minnesota, Michelle is happily married to her partner and muse, Rowan. Michelle encourages organic eating, recycling and realizing that you are divine! She enjoys bicycling, running, painting, nature and life in general~
