Michelle Righetti is an interdisciplinary artist based in Toronto who works as a Singer/Songwriter, Operatic Soprano, Actor and Composer. Her passion is to create an environment where artists from different disciplines can work together to create new and exciting art fusions. Michelle can frequently be heard playing odd, classical instruments, and some of her own creation. Recent collaborations led to rave reviews, such as one from reviewer Art & Culture Maven, who called the music "inspired and expressive". Art & Culture Maven said that (the) "Musical accompaniment was inspired and expressive, including original compositions that I'd describe as melodic avant garde and odd instruments I couldn't place (something like a horn with strings that's played also as percussion?) Original pieces by ODD Opera and Pangea Sound Collective also use rhythmic whispers and operatic singing in a multi-layered web that was more than a simple backdrop to the dancers. Michelle is an alumna of The University of Toronto, where she currently resides.
