Ministers to Society

M2S is an acronym meaning Ministers to Society. M2S is composed of Tone Jonez, and Bdunn. Tone and Bdunn met in the early 2000's. They would go over to Bdunn's house and make music in his basement studio/room. Armed with a 4 track recorder, Yamaha keyboard, Casio sk sampler, and a radio shack mic, they honed their craft. Although the music was not always Christian, they amazed each other and the high level of talent they had. Around 2003 they lost contact due to both of them moving. In 2007, they reunited and formed Strong Foundation & Co., LLC with Richard Thomas (LT). As a music production company, the duo has experienced the good and bad side of the music industry. At one point, they lost focus on Gospel and almost exclusively did hip hop/rap, pop, and rnb. This caused the duo and Lt to be in environments surrounded by cigarette/weed smoke, alcohol, profanity, unethical individuals, and provocatively dressed women. Knowing that this wasn't right, they ceased all secular activity and stopped doing music almost completely. During this time they got refocused on the word of God and started back working on their Christian album that they started in 2008.

With a mission to reach today's troubled youth, this Christ led duo is blazing new trails in gospel hip hop. The songs on their debut album, "Refokus", have a wide range of musical styles and Christ centered subject matter. Through crazy experiences that have occurred recently and in the past, these brothas were able to write relevant songs that just about anybody can relate to and learn from. Singles such as "Temptation" touch on sexual impurity and avoiding it. This song and many more touch areas that you've probably never heard on a Gospel hip hop album, or maybe not even a Gospel album. "Refokus" will be initially released digitally on this website, iTunes, and other digital stores August 31st 2010. Hard copies will be released on an unannounced date.
