Monarch

Monarch is a hardcore/conscious hip hop trio which consists of vocalists Wes Wright, Misolanius, and producer/beat-maker SevenhertZ, as well as heavy production contributions from Sac towns Dr. Bennett of the group Dirt Merchants. Monarch put out there debut E.P. entitled "The Beginning," in july of 08 which is the precursor for the full length album entitled "The Transformation" which is expected to be ready to be released December 2009. The LP album is a militant-minded, revolutionarily oriented, and spiritually guided concept album, which has been in the works for almost three years now. Lyricist Wes Wright currently lives in his hometown of Chico, lyricist and executive producer Misolanius lives in the yay area, and producer/beat-maker SevenhertZ lives in Outerspace. Current Collaborators on the album include bay area's infamous Gift of Gab of Blackalicious, MC Zion of the legendary duo Zion I, Marty James of One Block Radius and previously of Scapegoat Wax, Tetrarue and Chance 1 of Chicos Dialecs, Chico soul singer Alpine, Madix of the Dirt Merchants, Kristo of the Sol Rebelz, and So Stubby from the Bay, as well as many more. Additional instrumentation has also been provided by Quannum Projects musician "General Elektriks", as well as sratches by Sir Tipp from Risky Buisness. This album will be taking real hip hop to the next level and puts everybody in check from wack clone ass rappers to dirty politicians. The precursor for the main full length album entitled "Monarch The Beginning The E.P." was released 06/15/08 with 2 remixes done by Kristo of the Sol Rebels. These 2 albums will be greatly noted! Monarch is under the indie label MagnumOpusRecords..
