Moon Light

Moon Light (The Oliverson Family) features sixteen-year-old Aubree Oliverson--an international violin competition winner and Carnegie Hall soloist, Utah Symphony guest artist, and Utah’s Best-of- State winner and Arts & Entertainment BOSS trophy winner for 2011. Aubree has twice been a featured performer on National Public Radio’s From the Top, and is a Salute-to-Youth winner, Stradivarius competition winner, MTNA national finalist, and a Young Artist Competition winner. Aubree is also a state and national award winning composer, recognized twice by the New York Arts Ensemble as a “composer of great promise” before the age of twelve. She has soloed with a wide variety of musical groups including the Utah Chamber Artists, Salt Lake Pops, Millennial Choir and Orchestras, and for two years was Concertmistress for the Gifted Music School Orchestra of Salt Lake City. Aubree was one of only 24 pre-college students throughout the world invited to attend the Colburn Music Conservatory in Los Angeles in 2014—where she currently studies, and is Concertmistress for the Academy Virtuosi Orchestra. Aubree’s father, Dr. Stephen Oliverson, talented pianist and composer--is a man for all seasons. Besides his awards and recognitions as a pianist, composer, and producer, Stephen is also an award winning educator including Principal-of-the-Year, and a National Title-I Distinguished School Principal. He has several advanced degrees, and an extensive military, athletic, and religious background. Stephen and Aubree have recorded and produced six highly acclaimed original CD albums under the stage name “Moon Light”, and their music has been featured on stage and radio. Stephen’s two youngest children, Andrew (13) and Lily (10) are also excellent musicians and join their sister and father in many Moon Light productions. Andrew and Lily have both won awards for composition and were both recently part of a select few from South, Central, and North America chosen to participate in Suzuki Youth Orchestra of the Americas in Minneapolis, 2014. As a family the Oliversons have performed to appreciative audiences in venues throughout the intermountain west, including the Sundance Film Festival, Libby-Gardner Hall, Salt Palace, Gallivan Center, BYU Education Week, Temple Square, and thrilled audiences in other locations such as Seattle, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. The The Oliversons have several beautifully produced music videos on their YouTube channel moonlightperformers, three of which have reached the top twenty on video music charts.
