Monte Sinclare Proctor (born March 23, 1993) better know by his entertainment name MP3 is an American artist, entertainer, and businessman. Often referred to as The Rubik’s Cube of Entertainment, Your Favorite Reject, or Prince of The South, MP3 is known for his broad fused style in music, dance, fashion, and his personal life. MP3 is founder of Diamond Status Entertainment and also creator of the line Royal Rejection. MP3 first was introduced to the world of entertainment as an infant living with his parents in Lucama, North Carolina. At just 20 months old he mimicked Michael Jackson choreography in his crib. When MP3 was 3 years old he performed at Christmas party for his pre-school classmates. MP3 began making music at the age of 5, writing songs, poetry, and stories, playing various musical instruments, along with sing and dancing. MP3 started first recording himself using portable tape recorders belonging to his father. Seeing MP3’s interest in the device, his father not only gave him one of the recorders, but also bought him a karaoke machine. At the age of 10 MP3 was introduced to the digital world where he experimented with recording himself and his instruments using the family computer and a microphone from karaoke machine. It was during this time he adopted his entertainment name after seeing the codec of files he ripped from a CD. He also calls himself MP3 because of his belief to be music. He was often reprimanded in school and at home for daydreaming and banging out drum patterns on anything present, he says this was due to music coursing through him.
