He has opened for folkie funnywoman Christine Lavin, performed at such venues as the Please Touch Museum, the Garden State Discovery Museum, Upper Merion Township's "Concerts Under the Stars" and the Philadelphia Folk Festival (3 times) - and at hundreds of other special events, school assemblies, preschools, camps and libraries. For more than a decade, David has emceed the Kids Open Stage at the Philadelphia Folksong Society's annual Spring Thing and Fall Fling events. He even designed their 25th & 30th Anniversary t-shirts.
On radio, he has performed with Pulitzer Prize-winning humorist Dave Barry, sung his songs live on Kathy O'Connell's popular WXPN "Kids Corner" program and received international airplay on the "Dr. Demento Show". David has also appeared on BCTV's "Story Web" program, plus the children's video series "Adventures in Art, Music & Dance" and has twice been interviewed on Fox TV's Good Day Philadelphia. In 2002, he was selected as the official artist for Pennsylvania's statewide Summer Reading Program, "Spotlight on Reading: Be a Star @ Your Library!" His songs have been published in the book, "Don't Even Think of Raining on my Parade: Adventures of the Secret Society of Happy People" and his artwork for that organization was featured in Newsweek magazine.
He is a member of the Children's Music Network, as well as the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators.
